2021 Council Nominations

Nominations inviting Fellows to stand for Council are now open and will close at COB Friday 1 October 2021.

As part of its terms of reference, the Nominations Council Committee, on behalf of Council, is responsible for encouraging members to consider standing for election to Council.

It’s important that Council is representative of the Institute membership. In particular there should be representation across the dimensions of practice area, professional and other experience, gender, cultural background and place of residence.

Of the current Council members who will serve in 2022, 57% are female, there is broad experience across the more traditional practice areas and, by location there are 29% in  NSW, 43% in VIC, 14% in Tasmania and 14% in Hong Kong SAR.

Three new Councillors will be elected this year and the Committee is keen to encourage nominations from members who can bring experience in data analytics, general insurance and risk. Diversity in nominations is encouraged. Temperament, high EQ, and group decision-making, is also important in the skill-fit.

Below are the three forms required for submitting a nomination. Please complete all three forms and submit them to Brad Sherringham.
