Actuary Program
Expand your technical skills and learn what it takes to be a professional actuary. Graduating as an Associate (AIAA) means you’ll be a trusted business advisor, familiar with the actuarial control cycle, and an effective communicator.

Overview
You’ll study four Actuary Program subjects; two at an accredited university and two online with us. At the same time, you’ll also complete a year of practical experience. We offer two 16-week semesters annually, with all teaching and assessments online. You'll be taught by our dedicated educators, with tutorials and guest speaker presentations delivered live and on-demand.
It takes one year on average to complete the final two subjects of the Actuary Program [Communication, Modelling and Professionalism (CMP) and Asset Liability Management (ALM)].
You must have attempted the Foundation Program, the Actuarial Control Cycle (ACC) and the Data Science Principles (DSP) subject before studying the rest of the Actuary Program with us. However, you won’t be awarded the Actuary designation until you’ve passed your required subjects.
To enrol, you need to become a General Member and enrol directly with us. Enrolment for semester two is open from June each year.
After you complete the Foundation and Actuary Programs, and practical experience requirement, you're eligible for the Associate (AIAA) designation.
Newly qualified Associates hold roles like:
- Senior Data Analyst
- Senior Consultant
- Actuary, Climate Analytics
- Superannuation Product Analyst
Experienced Associates hold roles such as:
