You've done the analysis. The model is sound. The numbers tell a clear story.
But when you present it - the room nods, the meeting ends, and nothing changes.
Sound familiar?

For most early and mid-career actuaries, the gap isn't technical. It's the moment between finishing the work and getting it actioned. Communicating complex findings to people who don't think the way you do - a CFO, a board, a wider team - is one of the hardest transitions in this career. And almost nobody teaches you how to do it.

This session is designed to change that.

The Communication Gap is a practical, hands-on session built for actuaries who are technically strong and ready to build the skill that shapes careers: translating complex work into clear, compelling communication that non-actuaries can understand; and act on.

In this session, you'll:

  • Watch a live demonstration of the same actuarial problem presented two completely different ways and feel the difference immediately
  • Work in small groups to take a real-world scenario and reframe it for an executive audience
  • Hear from experienced actuaries and senior business leaders on how they communicate, what lands, and what doesn't
  • Walk away with a simple, practical framework you can use in your next stakeholder conversation

This isn't just another talk. It's a career skill session - for actuaries at any stage who want their work to make a real impact beyond the model.
