Eight accredited degrees

Build your foundation at the best universities in Australia and New Zealand

As a graduate, you don't just earn a degree; you're already on the fast track towards becoming a qualified actuary with the Institute. Eight accredited universities across Australia and New Zealand offer actuarial degrees including subjects from our qualification programs. You’ll study our programs as part of your degree. This means you can apply for exemptions from Foundation and Actuary Program subjects and have them automatically recognised by us.

What should I have studied at high school before studying at an accredited university?

You’ll be expected to have undertaken specialist or extension maths in high school, with some universities requiring extension or specialist level subjects to receive an offer.

Communication in business is vital, so invest time in your English studies.

During university, we encourage you to undertake internships and work experience to help you secure full-time jobs after graduation.

What level of mathematics do I need?

Australian school leavers are expected to have undertaken advanced mathematics in school. Some universities list specialist or extension mathematics as a prerequisite (required to receive an offer).
