After racking our brains for hours at the exhibition centre, we turned to our smartest actuaries to figure out the title of the next instalment in the Actuary-Man series. Fortunately, you were able to figure it out!

The solution

Though there are many concepts at the intersection of film and actuarial, only a few could fit the film strip. The strip has 10 spaces, which suggests a 10-letter solution to the puzzle.

By combining potential answers such as PRODUCTION and PREDICTION with the film strip, you would find that they don’t fit logically. Instead, the answer is PROJECTION.

The word PROJECTION in large black capital letters, partially overlapped by black and grey gradient blocks along the top and bottom edges
The film buffs

Thank you to those who tried to figure out the subtitle of the film. We had two successful solutions submitted this issue:

  • Noah Gribble
  • Williamson Mai

As much as we would like to award both of you a prize, Noah Gribble was randomly selected and has won the prize of a $50 voucher from the Actuaries Institute.
