Ash Evans is an experienced actuary and a leader in Taylor Fry’s public health and personal injury practices. He is a Principal at Taylor Fry with 15 years of consulting experience for government and corporate clients.

Ash has a broad range of experience advising government departments and regulators on public health questions. Recently, these have ranged from pricing mental health care in admitted hospital and community settings, leading the analytics program to reduce mental injuries and improve outcomes for a workers compensation scheme, and providing analytics advice to the NSW Cancer Institute on its screening program.

Prior to joining Taylor Fry, Ash completed his PhD in actuarial mathematics at the University of Melbourne.

Karl manages the PHI Actuarial team at APRA. His current focus includes addressing sustainability/affordability risks in the industry, reviewing the capital standards and working with the Appointed Actuaries. Prior to APRA, Karl was in Europe for five years working with a variety of general insurers and prior to this he was at the previous health insurance prudential regulator PHIAC.

Rianne is a qualified actuary with more than 8 years of experience working in private health insurance and currently is a consulting actuary at Finity.

Through the past working experience, Rianne has developed an expertise in health insurance pricing, claims analytics, product development, financial projections and capital management.

Rianne has worked with a wide range of health insurer clients and prior to joining Finity, Rianne worked as a pricing actuary with Medibank for five years.

Stuart is a company director on the Boards of the San Foundation and the International Actuarial Association Health Section.

Previously a partner in Deloitte and the leader of the firm’s health actuarial and health insurance businesses, his career has focussed on health and health finance for nearly two decades.

Earlier he has worked as a business manager or actuary in several different countries and industries.

Tim is a senior Health Actuary in EY’s integrated Health Consulting practice at EY. He brings over 10 years of international experience in Australia, the US and MENA in the Health and Government sectors. Tim advises Government agencies, Healthcare provider and payers at the Commonwealth and State level. He has broad experience National and State frameworks for activity based management, funding, and costing for healthcare organisations including alternative funding arrangements and value based care; and the use of data & analytics including risk stratification, predictive behavioural analytics in the areas of: healthcare system management, evidence based reform and decision making tools.
