Volunteering policies and procedures
Volunteering for the Institute means there is an expectation that volunteers embody the highest ethical standards, as well as comply with our policies and procedures.
We encourage you to read the below documents before you start your volunteering journey. If you have any questions, please speak to your Committee Chair or contact an Actuaries Institute team member.
General volunteering resources:
- Volunteer Agreement
- Social Media Guidelines for Volunteers
- Code of Conduct
- CPD points and CPD compliance
Public Policy volunteering resources:
Develop your skills
“I can see my volunteering experience developing my professional skills outside of technical work. I would strongly recommend anyone who has an inkling to try something a bit different and out of their comfort zone, volunteering with the Institute is a great way to start.”
Personal brand power
“The Actuaries Institute community is comprised of a diversity of individuals from different cultural backgrounds, different geographies and at different levels of experience. The Institute community is very important to me. It allows me to build a personal brand and connect with like-minded individuals to tackle emerging issues such as cyber risk and AI.”
Volunteering is just one of the benefits of membership.
We know our volunteers gain much more than they give. It’s a great benefit of being an Actuaries Institute member.
