This presentation will provide an update of the work undertaken by the Mortality Subcommittee.
The Australian mortality experience for 2025 will be presented and compared to the baseline expectation that the subcommittee set earlier in the year, with areas of higher or lower than expected mortality by cause, age and gender.
This will then be put in the context of experience since 2015, showing the impact of COVID on mortality improvement trends and what has happened since.
