About this event

Swap the spreadsheets for the game board, and settle in for a relaxed night with the young Sydney actuarial community.

Join hosts Alfie and Zack for a relaxed YAP NSW board games night, a casual social event for young actuaries to connect, unwind and meet others across the profession. The evening is low-pressure and informal, with a range of board games available in small groups. You're also welcome to bring along your favourite game to share.

Whether you're keen to test your strategy or just catch up over a bite to eat, this is a great chance to build connections outside the usual work setting. Food and fun are provided.

Spots are limited - once full, a waitlist will apply. Register early to secure your place.

Who should attend

Open to young actuaries under 35. Whatever your level of board game experience - this one's all about the company and the connections, not the competition.

Why attend
  • Meet other young actuaries in a relaxed setting.
  • Build connections across companies and career stages.
  • Practise teamwork and problem-solving through board games.

*Participation in this event is voluntary and at your own risk. It is not covered by the Institute's insurance.

Young Actuaries Program (YAP) connects young professionals through regular and engaging social activities, interactive workshops, and collaborative projects. The program creates spaces for forming lasting relationships, expanding networks, and helping shape the profession's future direction. With a YAP community in NSW, VIC and QLD, we hope to see you at an event soon.
