International Women's Day 2026 - "Balance the Scales" at the Actuaries Institute

Every day, actuaries run calculations that have nothing to do with their jobs. Should I speak up or stay quiet? Ask for that promotion or wait? Be ambitious or be liked? We all make these invisible calculations. But research shows women make them far more often, and at a higher cost.

This International Women's Day, join us for "Balancing More Then Equations", an honest conversation about the constant trade-offs many navigate, visibility versus likability, ambition versus being "too much", career versus caregiving, and how successful leaders learned to stop calculating their every move.

Chaired by Actuaries Institute President Scott Reeves, come along to hear real perspectives from women at all career stages, gain practical strategies for leading authentically, and connect with others who get it.

Light nibbles and drinks will be served.

Part of Women Actuaries Connect+, this event welcomes everyone who supports women's advancement in the profession.
