KDNuggets : Repository of information, lots of links to resources. A popular site on Business Analytics, Big Data, Data Mining, and Data Science. The site provides content on software, jobs, meetings, conferences, companies, courses, education, solutions, webcasts and other websites.
Analytics Magazine : The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) is the largest society in the world for professionals in the field of operations research (O.R.), management science, and analytics. Their “analytics” magazine focuses on the solutions, industries, methodologies and articles relevant to analytics.
The programming language R : A very popular tool in the data science world that links to the Official R Project website where you can learn about R and download the latest version.
R Studio : A free development environment for R. that helps make R much easier to use and provides tutorials on how to get started.
Python : Links to the official Python website where you can learn about Python and download the latest version.
Anaconda Python : This is an open-source version of Python packaged up with an easy-to-use development environment and all the packages needed to get started in data analytics using Python. There are many other IDE's available too.
Knime : The official Knime Website. Knime is an open source project that provides a graphical interface to streamline data flows, analysis and reporting steps in a Data Analysis task.
Tableau : Tableau is the most popular data discovery tool. It allows you to examine relationships in the data with a few mouse moves. You can download a trial version.
Qlik : A data discovery tool similar to Tableau but the free trial version does not expire. It is limited in that workbooks created cannot be shared with other users.
SAS Academic Version : Links to the SAS Academic Version download site where you can purchase a cheaper version of SAS if you are enrolled at an academic institution.

Tableau : Tableau Public is a popular data visualisation tool that's also completely free.
Raw : Open, customisable, and free to download and modify, Raw lets users create vector-based data visualisations.
Plot.ly : Make charts and dashboards online from CSV or Excel data. Create interactive D3.js charts, reports, and dashboards online. API clients for R and Python.
Highcharts : Highcharts is a JavaScript charting library with a huge range of chart options available. The output is rendered using SVG in modern browsers and VML in Internet Explorer.
Datawrapper : Datawrapper is an open source tool helping everyone to create simple, correct and embeddable charts in minutes.
Quadrigram : Quadrigram is an online visualisation data tool.
Google Charts : Google Charts is highly flexible and has an excellent set of developer tools behind it. It's an especially useful tool for specialist visualisations such as geo-charts and gauges. It also includes built-in animation and user interaction controls.
