2018 General Insurance Seminar - call for papers

This year's General Insurance Seminar will be held in Sydney on 12-13 November. As technology advances, consumers become more knowledgeable, disruptions become more frequent and the industry becomes more regulated, we need to be prepared for what's to come.

There will be plenty of opportunities in change and disruption and the Seminar will be looking at the landscape of the industry in 10 years time. The theme 'Transform the Future' is about general insurance actuaries' need to be informed and proactive to make meaningful changes in the future.

The Organising Committee has been working hard to build a strong program with impressive keynote speakers and topics. They strongly encourage members to submit papers on the following topics:

  • Climate Change
  • Digital/Data Analytics
  • Leadership
  • Mental Health
  • Regulation
  • Risk
  • Trust/Consumer Lens

If you have a topic that you would like to present on, or you plan to write a paper, please complete and return the synopsis template. Synopses are due to Zoe Carlyon by Friday 27 July.

If you have a suggestion or can recommend a speaker, please contact Zoe Carlyon.
