Joshua Corrigan

Joshua Corrigan (ERM2015 Facilitator) is the Appointed and Chief Actuary at Suncorp Life, having joined Suncorp in January 2015. Previously he was a Principal at Milliman, where he led Milliman’s enterprise risk management services across the Asia-Pacific region. He is a specialist in insurance risk management, but has also worked across wide range of industries including banking, wealth management, asset management, and energy, as well as various geographies including the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Jason Breton

Jason Breton (ERM2015 Keynote Speaker) is a recognised leader and passionate advocate of holistic and contemporary risk management theory and practice. As well as being Downer Rail’s General Manger, Risk & Regulatory Affairs, Jason mentors future leaders through a range of post-graduate programs. He is a member of the University of Technology’s Industry Advisory Board for Project Management, the RMIA Examination Board and lectures on the AGSM MBA Program for Risk Management. A published contributor to the risk management debate, he has overseen a range of initiatives embedding rigorous risk management methodologies in several top 100, ASX listed companies. He has undertaken complex consultancy work for clients locally, in the Middle East and Asia, and is a Fellow of the Australian Davos Foundation and Alumni of St James Ethics Centre. In 2002 he won the NSW’s Premier’s Award, followed by the Australian Leadership Award in 2003.


Dr Christopher Wallace

Dr Christopher Wallace is an experienced insurance industry executive having worked in general insurance, workers’ compensation, and health insurance. Chris has worked extensively in insurance underwriting and claims management roles within insurers, and has also worked as a business consultant to the insurance industry. He has a doctorate in economics specialising in insurance pricing and insurance strategy from the University of Newcastle, NSW. He is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance and a Certified Insurance Professional. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation which provides terrorism reinsurance to commercial property insurers in Australia.

Rob Daly

Rob Daly has been the Chief Risk Officer of CommInsure since 2012, with responsibility for risk management and compliance for both the life and general insurance subsidiaries of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) as well as Colonial Mutual Superannuation. From 2008 to 2012, he was the Chief Actuary at TAL Life Limited. This role included the appointed actuary position and he was a member of the investment committee of TAL. Prior to TAL, Rob worked at Tillinghast (now part of Towers Watson) from 1995, in three separate locations: Australia from 1995 to 2001; New York from 2001 to 2003; and Australia again from 2004 to 2007. At Tillinghast he worked in mergers and acquisition, financial reporting, risk management and asset and liability management. Prior to working at Tillinghast, he worked with Munich Re in London (1991 to 1995) and Abbey Life in Ireland (1987 to 1991).

 

David Hanna is a financial services and payments executive with more than 13 years’ experience in the financial services industry, specialising in governance, risk and compliance.David is currently the Director of Compliance Risk Management for PayPal Australia and New Zealand and is responsible for the compliance risk management framework for PayPal Australia and New Zealand. David is the primary contact for AUSTRAC, APRA and ASIC and is responsible for aligning the business’ compliance risk management strategy with the business objectives.
