Institute Committees

The Institute of Actuaries of Australia is a body corporate and is governed by its Constitution, which invests certain powers in Council. These powers include the appointment of committees to act on behalf of Council.

The structure of committees reporting to Council is reviewed from time to time to ensure continued suitability for the Institute’s operations.

As at December 2010 Council has in place five Practice Committees covering major areas of concern and interest to members.

Information on the activities of the Practice Committees is available on the members’ section of the website.

A list of all Institute Committees and their members is also available on the members’ section of the website.
