Priority Research Areas

The second selection round of the Institute of Actuaries’ Australian Actuarial Research Grants program will commence shortly and run concurrently with the first round of the Australian Actuarial Research Contracts. Last year, a list of priority research areas was used to guide the award of most grants.

A preliminary review suggests that research in these fields continues to offer strategic benefit to the profession. However, the Research Council Committee (RCC) has decided to seek the views of practice committees, researchers and individual members, before finalising the list for this year’s grants.
